Conversion Course - Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (1 taught day) Unit 305

Have you completed the 4 day Department of Health approved IMCA course?
Do you want to convert that course to the IMCA qualification module?

In order to achieve the qualifications in independent advocacy specialist IMCA module, you will need to submit a portfolio of evidence which  demonstrates your practical IMCA skills.  A number of 1 day IMCA ‘conversion’ courses are being held to support existing IMCAs through this process of assessment .  The course explains the assessment process and offers support to create successful portfolios.

The cost of the course is £315 per person which includes a 1 day taught course, training materials, assessment and observation costs, registration & certificate fees (with City and Guilds).  All tutors have experience in providing or managing IMCA services and all assessors are qualified.

By achieving this unit you will be awarded a Certificate of Unit Credit which can be used towards the qualification “Certificate in Independent Advocacy (IMCA)” or “Diploma in Independent Advocacy (IMCA - Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards)”.

Please note - Prior to confirmation of your place on this course we will require proof of completion of the DH approved IMCA course, ie. a photocopy of your certificate.
