Conversion Course - Independent Mental Health Advocacy (1 taught day) Unit 306
The qualification “Certificate in Independent Advocacy (IMHA)” is designed to support IMHAs to develop the practical skills and knowledge needed to provide effective statutory mental health advocacy. In order to achieve the full qualification you will need to complete four Core units in generic advocacy plus the Specialist IMHA module. If you have attended the NMHDU four day course, you can use this learning towards achieving the specialist IMHA unit.
We are offering a one day conversion course which will explain how to submit a portfolio of evidence and will support you through the assessment process. The IMHA conversion courses are only open to learners who can evidence they have attended the NMHDU four day course.
The cost of the course is £315 per person which includes a one day course with lunch, training materials, assessment and observation costs, registration and certificate fees (with City & Guilds). All tutors have experience in providing or managing advocacy services and assessors are qualified.
By achieving this unit you will be awarded a Certificate of Unit Credit which can be used towards the qualification “Certificate in Independent Advocacy (IMHA)”.
